Kim Simplis BarrowFirst Lady Kim Simplis Barrow is being featured on the cover of the June issue of American Way magazine, the in-house publication of American Airlines, which is read regularly by more than 60,000 air travellers. The magazine was launched on Wednesday, June 17th at the Radisson Fort George, in Belize City.

The June edition, entitled Beautiful Belize, talks about tourist destinations in Belize. A copy is available to every passenger that flies American in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and Australia. It is hoped that the magazine articles will stimulate interest in more travellers to visit Belize.

American Airlines has been flying to Belize since 1990, and had indicated a willingness to promote Belize in its in-house journal. A  team  from American Airlines   arrived  in Belize in May and visited the many tourist destinations, in preparation for the Beautiful Belize June issue.

The promotion is a gift to Belize from American Airlines, Taegar-Panton said. She went on to express her confidence that this initiative will positively impact tourist arrivals.

First Lady Kim has said she is pleased to be part of the tourism initiative and will do everything she can to help her country.

She said she is willing to be part of any initiative that will result in positive gains for the people and the country.
Prime Minister Dean Barrow commented that he was happy to see his wife’s picture on the cover of an international magazine, especially so since she is promoting Belize.
